Cognition
Solutions plc provides complete business information
systems to a wide range of contracting, construction,
and maintenance companies. Established in 1981, the
company is independent and privately owned, and has
offices in London, Cheltenham and Manchester. Their
product, Intellect - an integrated accounts, costing
and management information system - enables companies
to collect, analyse and distribute business information
effectively across all departments. This means they
can handle information more efficiently, control costs,
manage resources and monitor how their business is performing
at a glance. Cognition also offers a web-enabled version
of Intellect, which gives companies and their clients
and suppliers remote access to corporate applications
and data via the internet.
Cognition
has worked with CCL for the last five years. The partnership
began when one of Cognition's potential customers was
looking for an alternative way to fund their software.
Cognition turned to CCL to provide the solution: flexible
finance with fixed payments over a long term period.
Since then, CCL has provided rental agreements to Cognition
customers on a regular basis.
A
good working relationship

Director Chris Eccles explains how Cognition's relationship
with CCL got off the ground. "We initially began working
with CCL because they were extremely efficient. They
provided good service and we found them very easy to
deal with. The fact they financed software was also
essential."

five years of working together, how does Chris sum up
the benefits of the partnership? "Being able to
offer customers an alternative finance option gives
us another tool to add to our business offering. Our
customers have the benefit of fixed payments, and can
invest in our software without impacting on their cash
flow. And as well as the software itself, they can also
include many different elements in the finance package
such as maintenance and support."
