Stortext
(UK) Ltd. is the UK's largest and most established digital
document management company, with over 14 years' experience
in document management.
They
provide internet-compatible outsourced digital document
storage and related services to both commercial and
government organisations. These include printing, mailing,
scanning and e-storage. The majority of their work consists
of operations critical printing such as payslips, debtors,
creditors and Council Tax bills - and
their monthly print capacities currently exceed 15 million
pages.
Stortext's
head office is in the centre of Edinburgh, and they
have a large operations centre in Hamilton which handles
all print, mailroom and scanning operations. From these
premises, Stortext provides a 24-hour bureau operation
where they receive data digitally from customers.
Stortext's
aim is to provide its customers with innovative documentary
control solutions, combining a reliable, flexible quality
service with cost-effective pricing. As part of this
ongoing strategy, in 2000, they decided to invest in
a cutting edge document management package, which includes
hi-quality scanning equipment and document management
software. This new technology would enable Stortext
to handle larger amounts of data more effectively, and
provide quality services to a growing number of customers,
including real-time document management via the internet.
From the outset, their five year business plan defined
the funding of this solution through leasing. So they
turned to CCL.
