Suki Gallagher short-listed for Wessex Business Woman of the Year 2003

Suki Gallagher, the co founder and MD of Basingstoke based Corporate Computer Lease plc has been short-listed as a finalist for the Prestigious Wessex Business Women of the Year 2003.

The other 3 finalists are Jenny Warner of Family Match, Selaine Messem of Less Bounce and Avril Owton of The Cloud Hotel.

The Award will honour successful women in business and provide a role model to encourage other women to enter the business arena.

The Wessex Business Woman of the year will be someone who has displayed exceptional business skills. She will have made a significant contribution to the financial success or performance of her company proving herself to be a true entrepreneur.

The judging criteria reflect the different skills, abilities and influence of both entrepreneur and as a motivator of people. The winner will be someone who can demonstrate success against the following criteria::

• Achievement within her own field and other business or non-business related activities;

• Entrepreneurial or intrapreneurial skill and pioneering ability;

• Degree of difficulty to reach achievement level;

• Determination/drive/self-motivation;

• Personality/ambassador skills within her business field;

• Home-work balance; achievements in outside interests; and

• Involvement in developing, training and motivating others and example as a role model

The winner will be announced at a glittering ceremony held at the Rose Bowl , Southampton on 31st October, where the winner will be presented with her trophy by the Duchess of York. The award is in support of the Winged Fellowship Trust, a leading voluntary provider of stress relief breaks for carers of people with physical disabilities.
